Arrived in Sri Lanka after a nightmare journey. Our flight was delayed from 11.30pm until 1am and we weren't actually allowed into Trivandrum airport until check in, so had to stand outside. There are also no facilities inside the airport either - not even a cup of tea.
Arrived in Colombo completely knackered and had to get a crap government hotel and $25 dollars a night which was cold, damp and grimy. The taxi also got lost taking us there and took an hour to make a 15 minute journey. We were not best pleased.
Left after 5 hours sleep and got the train the Kandy which seems nice.
